The Pacific Region Node joined the Clinical Trials Network in September 1999 and includes programs in Southern California and Hawaii. Many of the node's CTP networks have been involved in the transfer of research into practice for over a decade. The diverse communities served by the CTPs have geographic areas with epidemic methamphetamine use, increasing rates of heroin use among youthful populations, endemic inner city crack cocaine use, and dramatically increasing reports of the use of ecstasy and GHB.

This node is no longer active in the CTN.
