The Southwest Node joined the Clinical Trials Network in September 2002 and includes programs in New Mexico. The node's community treatment programs provide inpatient and outpatient, urban and rural psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy. New Mexico is the first "minority majority" state, and its clinical populations include large proportions of Native American and Hispanic clients.

This node is no longer active in the CTN. A new Southwest Node was added to the CTN in 2019.
