Description: The Yale Research Program on Stress, Addiction and Psychopathology (SAP) is a collaborative research program in the Dept. of Psychiatry across itís divisions of substance abuse, clinical and cognitive neuroscience and Womenís Behavioral Health. The program conducts translational and multidisciplinary clinical research that covers human laboratory studies, brain imaging, genetic and clinical treatment outcome studies. The SAP is funded in part by a 2007 NIH Interdisciplinary Research Consortia award. Director: Rajita Sinha, Ph.D.

2 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System

Description: The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) monitors priority health-risk behaviors and the prevalence of obesity and asthma among youth and young adults. The YRBSS includes a national school-based survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state, territorial, tribal, and district surveys conducted by state, territorial, and local education and health agencies and tribal governments. Topics covered include HIV, alcohol and drug use, tobacco use, obesity and asthma.
