Heather Lonczak is an educational psychologist with expertise in at-risk youth and positive youth development. She has published a number of scholarly articles focusing on adolescent well-being, as well as works of fiction for children. Dr. Lonczak prevously worked at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center, the Social Development Research Group in the UW School of Social Work, and the Managing Health and Illness Research Project (also in Social Work). She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the UW Addictive Behaviors Research Center, working with Dr. Alan Marlatt. At ADAI, she is working on the Healing of the Canoe project with Drs. Dennis Donovan and Lisa Rey Thomas.
