Description: The Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Center of Excellence on Behavioral Health for Pregnant and Postpartum Women and Their Families (ATTC CoE-PPW) was funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in October 2015 to strengthen the ability of the behavioral healthcare workforce to serve the PPW population. Mid-America ATTC has formed a partnership with Great Lakes, New England, and Southeast Regional ATTCs to lead this two-year national effort.

Description: ISATE conducts research on publicly funded alcohol and drug abuse treatment programs in Tennessee. I-SATE's primary mission is to evaluate the effectiveness of substance abuse treatment clients enrolled in these programs, with a particular focus on special populations, such as DUI offenders, pregnant women, adolescents, and those with co-occurring disorders.

4 Parent-Child Assistance Program (PCAP), Univ. of Washington

Description: PCAP is an evidence-based home visitation intervention program that works with women who abuse alcohol or drugs during pregnancy, with the aim of preventing future alcohol- and drug-exposed births among these mothers. PCAP helps mothers achieve this goal by helping them complete substance abuse treatment and stay in recovery, and by motivating them to choose effective family planning methods.
